Did you get your Sunday paper's today?

I don't know about you, but I completely forgot about getting my Sunday papers today.  It has been a crazy July for our family.  I will run by CVS or Walgreens and check tomorrow to see if there are any left.  I hate to miss a paper.

I am taking daily classes thru SIU-C and the kids are involved in camps, golf, and VBS.  I am ready for July to be over and for our family's activities to slow down.

So have you gotten any great deals with your coupons lately?  I would love to hear about your shopping trips.

Sunday, 7/10 Assignment

This Sunday, 7/10 there are 2 inserts:

(1) RedPlum
(1) SmartSouce

Your assignment for Sunday, 7/10 is to buy at least one newspaper.  Remember to check to be sure that it has a RedPlum (RP) insert and a SmartSource (SS) insert in it before you make your purchase.  When you get home, use a sharpie to write 7/10 on the front and file your inserts together.

I apologize for not getting any couponing ideas up this week.  I am taking 2 college graduate level classes during the month of July and I have been a little overwhelmed this week.  Don't worry, I will post next week.  Let me know if you run across any great deals.

No Coupon - No Problem

My goal is to save an average of 50% on purchases.  Buy 1, Get 1 Free sales are a great way to achieve this.  For example, Wags has Dixie Paper Products on sale thru Sat, July 2 B1G1 Free.  That is a 50% savings without using a coupon.  I try to buy enough of a sale items to last my family for 8 to 10 weeks.  I wanted to purchase paper plates for this length of time, however, there were only 4 packages of paper plates left when I went to Wags this evening.  No problem.  I just asked for a raincheck for 6 more packages.  Wags rainchecks do not expire so I don't need to be in a hurry.  Usually when I use a raincheck like this, the cashier will let me purchase them in sets of 2 so I don't have to get them all at one time if I don't want too.

Remember, B1G1 Free sales are like getting each item at 50% off.  Don't be shy-- ask for a raincheck if the store is out of an item you want to purchase.
