Walgreens Shopping Trip using coupons from 6/26 only

Today let's try a simple shopping trip to Walgreens, often refered to as Wags on many couponing sites.  Assuming you are new to couponing and you only have yesterday's paper (6/26), you can save 60% on Hawaiian Tropic Sun Care and 64% on Stayfree Pads.

The coupons for both items are in the Smart Source (SS) insert-- Hawaiian Tropic Sun Care is a -$1 off coupon and Stayfree Pad is a buy one get one free (BOGO or B1G1) coupon.

Wags has Hawaiian Tropic Sun Care on BOGO this week.  Each suncare item is approximately $10 .  The BOGO sale drops the price to $5 per item.  Now you are going to use 2  -$1 off coupons-- 1 for each items.  (Yes, 1 per item even if it is a BOGO sale.  Go to www.Walgreens.com to view the  Walgreens Coupon Policy.)  When you use stack your coupons with the BOGO sale, you will pay $4 per items instead of $10  That's a 60% savings!

During the same transaction, buy 2 StayFree Pads, 14-24 count.  The Stayfree Coupon is a BOGO.  Wags has Stayfree Pads on sale for $1.  The final price will be $1 for 2 packages of StayFree Pads.  That's a 64% savings!

Also while I am at Wags, I am going to purchase enough Dixie Paper Plates to last my family 6 to 8 weeks because that's when they typically will go on sale again.  We use a lot of paper plates during the summer and my goal is to always save at least 50%.  Wags has these on BOGO also.  This is an immediate 50% savings.  If you receive coupons in the mail from Kroger, check for a manufacture coupon for -1/2 Dixie Reg or Ultra plates.  (Some Kroger's coupons are manufacture's coupons meaning you can use them at any store.  Others are store coupons meaning they can only be used at Kroger.  This is usually stated at the top of the coupon.)  You can use this coupon with the BOGO for extra savings.

I would love for you to share about your shopping experience.
