CVS Shopping Trip using coupons from 6/26 only

If you are new to couponing or if you don't have many coupons, then this is the trip for you.  First, you need a CVS card-- they're free.  You can sign up for one at the store and use it right then or you can sign up online.

If you have a card already, don't forget to go scan the "magic coupon machine."  Ask the cashiers if you don't know where it is.  You will receive at least one surprise coupon.  Scan your card multiple times until the machine tell you that you have no new coupons until tomorrow.  This is the first thing I do when I enter CVS.

Buy a CVS bag tag at the check out for 99 cents and attach it to a reusable tote from home.  Have the cashier scan the bag tag each day you use it.  This is recorded at the bottom of your receipt.  Every 4 times/days your bag tag is scanned, you will receive $1 in extra care bucks (ECB).  Try to use ECB's asap so you don't lose them or they don't expire.  ECB's spend like cash at CVS.

CVS has Wisk Laundry Detergent 26 - 32 loads on a BOGO (buy 1 - get 1 free sale).  That's great-- you save 50%!  However, check  your RP (Red Plum 6/26) insert.  You should find a coupon for $2 off Wisk.  Hopefully, you bought 2 newspaper because you can use 2 manufacture's coupons-- 1 for each item.  Clip both coupons, grab you CVS card, and a reusable tote.  Let's go shopping!

At the CVS checkout, give the cashier your CVS card and then have her scan your bag tag.  (Buy a tag and have it scanned, if you don't already have one.  Attach it to your reusable tote.)  Give her both bottles of Wisk and finally both $2 off coupons.

Assuming you already have the bag tag, your total  will be $2.50 plus tax.  That's a 72% savings-- Wow!

If you have more than 2 coupons, you may want to purchase more and store it in your laundry room, in a cabinet, or in a bed.  Why pay full price when you can get it for a discount!?!
